Freedom From Despair Screenings

Please see the below about the upcoming screenings for the film Freedom From Despair. This is a fantastic film by a young Croatian-American director, Brenda Brkusic. It is in English (and Croatian), and the screenings are free, so we encourage you to invite as many people as possible, Croats and non-Croats, young and old.

Please pass this on to as many people as possible so that we can get the word out that the film and director are coming to Southern Ontario.

More dates and locations may be added.

If you need more information please contact Erica Zlomislic by email: ericawriter@yahoo.com or by phone: 416.428.7703.

A note from Amnesty International:
Brenda Brkusic’s documentary is an example of sublime filmmaking that poignantly tells the story of one brave man and translates his experience into powerful and compelling statements about the human spirit, political agendas, and global responsibility. I would like personally thank Brenda for this film. I believe that those who see it will understand the tragedy that engulfed Croatia and the hope that exists today. Amnesty International commends Brenda for this filmic achievement and we hope that she continues to bring socially conscious films to the attention of audiences around the world."
