Chamber Establishes Partnership Between Croatian Chamber of Economy, City of Toronto

cityhall-50.jpgIn April 2004, the Chamber organized and facilitated a meeting at Toronto City Hall of the visiting Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Tourism department of the City of Toronto.

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce Croatia to the City of Toronto and to explore ways in which to establish a mutually-beneficial partnership. Topics discussed at the meeting included the new direct air link between Toronto and Croatia and Toronto's current tourism promotion campaign. In attendance were representatives from Toronto Tourism, two city councillors, the Croatian Consulate and the Chamber.

The City of Toronto offered to share their tourism promotion expertise with the Croatian Chamber of Economy as well as help them connect to potential tourism partners in Toronto.

The meeting concluded with a visit to the City Council, where Toronto Mayor David Miller introduced and welcomed the Croatian delegation.
