Support C.P.F.G. Sljeme's 2008 Golf Tournament and Trip to Croatia

C.P.F.G. Sljeme is a community based ethnic dance group associated with the Croatian Parish in Mississauga since its inception in 1979. Through membership with the Mississauga Arts Council and Carassauga, it has taken part in many community events and has had the honour of participating in the International Folklore Festival in Drummondville, Quebec; the Canadian-Croatian Folklore Festival in Calgary, and the 1st and 2nd Canadian-Croatian Folklore Festivals held in Zagreb and Split respectively.

This year, approximately 40 dancers and tambura players, ranging in ages from 15 to 25 are traveling to Croatia to participate in a folklore festival that is being held in Đakovo. The costs of the trip are substantial. Our dancers and tambura players, although having undertaken various fundraising efforts over the past 1½ years, are still working hard to meet our goals and will be holding a golf tournament on Sunday, June 3rd, 2007 at Glen Eagle Golf Club in Bolton.

The golf package includes registration, cart, scoring, bag drop, showers-towels-lockers, lunch – BBQ or box, followed by a gourmet dinner at the golf club. The registration fee is $150.00 per person. The registration and lunch will start at 11:30 am. The format of the tournament will be decided once all of the registrations have been received. Dinner will be served at about 7:00pm. There will be a variety of contests during the afternoon.
