On Tuesday, September 18, 2007, the Canadian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce made a donation of $5000.00 to the George Chuvalo

FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS Foundation.

Mr. Chuvalo was the recipient of the Community Achievement Award at the Chamber's 2007 Business Excellence Awards, where it was announced that the Chamber would donate proceeds from the dinner's silent auction to the FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS Foundation. During his acceptance speech, Mr. Chuvalo reminisced about growing up in the Croatian community in Toronto and as such, the Chamber organized an event at Croatia Restaurant where owners Ankica and Stipe Bravic prepared a traditional sarma dinner for the invited guests.

After presentation of the gift, everyone enjoyed an evening of good food and wonderful conversation with our Croatian-Canadian sports legend whose experiences have become an inspiration for all Canadians.
